Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, requesting a mailbox number, or using the ADT Shipping website and related services, you agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the service. These terms apply to all customers who use ADT to receive, store, and forward packages from the United States to Jamaica.
Intellectual Property
The ADT name, wordmark, website design, software, and written materials are owned by ADT Shipping Limited or its licensors. You may not copy, modify, or redistribute our branding or site content without written permission, except for reasonable personal use of your own account information.
Use of Services
ADT provides a US warehouse address and a unique mailbox number so you can shop from US retailers and have packages forwarded to Jamaica. You must use your assigned mailbox number on every shipment. We may refuse, return, or dispose of packages that are illegal, hazardous, incorrectly addressed, or that violate carrier or customs rules. You are responsible for the contents of packages sent to your mailbox.
Rates and Payments
Shipping charges are based on the published weight-based rate table, billed on actual or dimensional weight as recorded at the warehouse. JMD amounts shown on the site are indicative and may change with the exchange rate. Additional fees may apply for oversized items, special handling, storage beyond a reasonable hold period, or duties and taxes assessed by customs. Payment is due before final delivery unless we agree otherwise in writing.
Website Use
You agree to use the website lawfully and not to attempt to disrupt, scrape, or misuse the platform. Accounts are personal. Do not share login links or impersonate another person. We may suspend access if we detect abuse, fraud, or activity that puts other customers or our operations at risk.
Customer Obligations
You must keep your profile details accurate, upload invoices when requested, and schedule delivery only for packages that are ready. You must not import prohibited items, misdeclare values, or use the service to evade customs or tax obligations. You remain the importer of record for goods shipped to your mailbox.
Customs and Regulations
Packages entering Jamaica are subject to Jamaica Customs Agency rules and any applicable duties, taxes, and inspections. ADT may share invoice and shipment details with customs or carriers as required. Delays caused by customs examination, missing invoices, or restricted goods are outside our control. You are responsible for all duties and taxes assessed on your shipments.
Liability and Claims
ADT is not the seller of goods shipped to your mailbox and is not responsible for retailer errors, damaged merchandise caused before we receive it, or carrier delays outside our network. Our liability for loss or damage while a package is in our custody is limited to the documented shipping charge paid to ADT for that package, unless a higher limit is required by applicable law. Claims must be submitted in writing within 14 days of delivery or the expected delivery date.
Privacy
We collect and use personal information as described in our Privacy Policy. By using the service you acknowledge that policy. We take reasonable steps to protect account and shipment data, but no internet transmission is completely secure.
Modifications and Termination
We may update these terms, rates, or the service by posting changes on the website. Continued use after a change means you accept the revised terms. We may close a mailbox, refuse a shipment, or terminate an account if these terms are breached or if required by law. You may stop using the service at any time; outstanding packages and charges remain your responsibility.
Dispute Resolution
These terms are governed by the laws of Jamaica, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. You agree to first contact us to resolve a dispute in good faith. If we cannot resolve it, courts located in Jamaica have exclusive jurisdiction, unless a mandatory consumer protection rule requires otherwise.
